In the brain, PS is involved in many nerve cell functions. Recent European and American clinical studies have concluded that PS can play an important part in supporting human cognitive functions as we age. A Vanderbilt University and ExPharma of Italy study found that subjects taking PS for 12 weeks saw improvements in the abilities to recall names of familiar people, recall details from the previous day and week and maintain mental concentration.
